Current GitHub builds may be unsigned.
After moving the app to Applications, run:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Image MetaHub.app"Then open Image MetaHub again.
Check:
- The folder contains supported media files.
- Recursive subfolder scanning is enabled if files are inside nested folders.
- The folder was not excluded.
- Indexing has finished.
- Filters/search are not hiding results.
- Safe Mode is not hiding expected content.
Try clearing active filters or refreshing the folder.
Metadata depends on what the generator saved into the file.
Try:
- Open the raw metadata panel.
- Use Reparse Metadata on the selected image.
- Check whether the file was exported through a tool that stripped metadata.
- For ComfyUI, install the MetaHub Save Node for future generations.
- For JPEG/WebP, confirm the metadata was not removed during conversion.
Check:
- ComfyUI is running.
- The URL in Settings → Integrations is correct.
- The default ComfyUI URL is usually
http://127.0.0.1:8188. - The same URL opens in a normal browser.
- The embedded workspace can be opened externally.

--api. - The URL in Settings → Integrations is correct.

- If using a dev/browser build, CORS may need:
--cors-allow-origins=http://localhost:5173Try:
- Let indexing fully finish.
- Avoid unnecessary strict startup verification for huge folders.
- Use cache/background reconciliation.
- Use search and filters before opening huge result sets.
- Disable table thumbnails for very large result sets if needed.
- Keep very large libraries split into sensible root folders.
Version 0.16.0 includes memory and cache reconciliation improvements for large ComfyUI libraries.
Try:
- Reopen the viewer.
- Refresh or reparse the file.
- Confirm the file format is supported.
- Check whether the codec is playable by your system/Electron.
- For metadata, install or enable
ffprobewhen applicable.
Audio metadata can be indexed even when Chromium/Electron cannot play the codec.
If playback fails, the file may still appear in the library with metadata.
Try:
- Refresh the folder.
- Reparse metadata.
- Restart the app if the file was overwritten externally.
- Confirm the file path and extension did not change unexpectedly.
