Aurora Store is just an alternative front-end for the Play Store, and the Stoat app as sourced from the Google Play Store has a Google injected dependency. Anyone who downloads it through Aurora without the Play Store won't be able to use the app anyway. Further, people who choose to use Aurora are presumably already familiar that it presents the same apps as the Play Store. Thanks for your PR, but this isn't something that will be added. There are plans for alternative distribution methods in the future, however. |

Hey, thanks for the comment. Aurora doesn't require google play services to run apps, it only scrapes from the Play Store. I was able to install and run Stoat on a degoogled device with no issues. Those wanting a privacy-friendly option will appreciate this. |

Vale is referring to a Google Play licensing check that google injects on the app once it's published on the Play Store. If the user does not have microG (with both google play licensing toggles enabled) or the Google Play Store installed the app will refuse to run, asking the user to install the app from the Google Play Store and/or enable the play store app. Once the app is published to another platform that supports app bundles, the option will be added to the site. |

As of today, Stoat works on my fully degoogled device through Aurora (no google services whatsoever) Is this a concern because of future plans to integrate Google services? |
Since Stoat is also on the Aurora Store, I added Aurora as a download option on the site.
