[WIP] Review backport patch for CVE-2025-68973

Check for correctness of the backport by makeing sure it actually solves the following issues:

• CVE-2025-68973

For each patch file make sure:

Make Sure backport patch applicable
Backport is correct (which is based on upstream reference)
Backported patch actually solves the security issue repoted by the CVE
Check the Comments as well in the PR for any reference if any
