feat(i18n): report the interface language to PostHog - #9024
Language usage could not be charted. The interface language is stored
on the account, but PostHog only received the browser locale, which is
a different value.
How it works
Once the signed-in person's language has resolved (their choice, else
the team's, else the browser's, else English), the client stores that
tag on the PostHog person as interface_language.
person language → team language → browser language → English

PostHog person.interface_language
A usage pie is a Trends insight on $pageview, unique users, broken
down by the person property interface_language.
What
Record interface_language from useInterfaceLanguageSync via analytics.setInterfaceLanguage, skipping repeat reports of the
same tag and reporting again after logout.
Follow-ups
The property fills in as people open the app after this ships.
People who have not opened it yet have no value.
Usage breakdowns need the language the app is showing. PostHog's
browser locale is a different value, and the resolved language was
only kept on the client.
Store that tag on the person as interface_language once the account
language has loaded. Logout forgets the last tag so the next account
is recorded even when it matches.

The resolved interface language is now recorded in analytics, making it available for usage trends and breakdowns.
The analytics interface now reports the resolved interface language to PostHog as the interface_language person property. The language sync hook calls this method after resolving the language. Analytics skips reporting when disabled or when the language has not changed. It clears the cached language on reset. Tests and documentation cover the reporting behavior.

Instrument the language-reporting boundary.
This call has no span or recorded outcome, so the language report cannot be followed in the trace. Add a Telemetry.clientSpan and record the language and whether the SDK call was queued or failed. Do not treat the void return as delivery confirmation.
As per coding guidelines, “New flows and hot paths are instrumented in the same change” and must “Record outcome on the span.”
