Why

Follow-up to #8424. Scheduled and event-triggered routine runs had no PostHog signal (only manual runs, client-side), and calls had no measure of length.

What changed

  • Routine runs (server, agent_harness_service): every run that starts and ends sends routine_run_finished {routine_id, trigger: scheduled | manual | event, trigger_event (e.g. email.message_received), target: model | agent, outcome: succeeded | failed | interrupted | ai_limit_reached, duration_ms}. Reported from the shared executor in scheduled_action, so all three triggers are counted the same way. Runs that never claim are not reported. No prompt or output is recorded.
  • The PostHog sender from feat(analytics): restore broken events and add product tracking (MCP, connectors, databases, calendar, CRM, search, notifications, routines) #8424's integration analytics is now shared as ProductAnalytics (same team attribution, background sending and send cap).
  • Calls (web): call_action left now carries secondsInCall; joined carries the call id.

Config

None new. Routines use the harness's existing POSTHOG_API_KEY; unset sends nothing.

Checks

  • scheduled_action unit tests pass (232, 5 new). The Postgres-backed repo tests were not compiled (no local database).
  • agent_harness_service builds; scheduling tests pass (9, 2 new). Clippy is clean on changed files, and cargo fmt and xtask deps --check pass.
  • Web: type-check passes, Biome is clean, and call tests pass (258).

Not covered

Call recordings and summaries: the web app can't see them, and document_storage_service has no PostHog key.

Scheduled and event-triggered runs had no PostHog signal; only manual
runs were tracked, client-side. The routine executor now reports each run
that starts and ends to an observer, and the agent harness sends it to
PostHog as `routine_run_finished` {routine_id, trigger, trigger_event,
target, outcome, duration_ms}. No prompt or output is recorded.

The PostHog sender from the integration analytics is now shared as
`ProductAnalytics`. Uses the service's existing POSTHOG_API_KEY.

`call_action` left now carries `secondsInCall`, and joined carries the
call id, so call length can be measured without a server-side key.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Analytics
    • Call activity now records the call ID and time spent in the call.
    • Completed routine runs now include their trigger, target, outcome, and duration in analytics. Failed, interrupted, and AI-limit-reached runs are distinguished from successful runs.
    • Analytics can be disabled when no API key is configured; analytics delivery failures do not interrupt routine execution.
📝 Summary

Call analytics now records the call ID on join and elapsed seconds on leave. The scheduled-action executor reports completed routine runs to an observer. The agent harness service maps those reports to routine-run analytics events and sends events through ProductAnalytics.

Priority: Low

Estimated code review effort:

Merge Risk: Low · previous review c58fe

Call-duration analytics can be attributed to the wrong call. Save and report the joined call ID on leave; the remaining risk is bounded.

Minor · Data Integrity & Integration · Quick win

Include the call ID on the duration event.

When a user joins successive calls in one channel, channelId cannot identify which joined event owns a left event’s secondsInCall. Save call.callId alongside joinedAt and send it on left. Do not read the call ID from the store at leave time: room teardown can reset that store before onLeft runs.
