So, to make it quick I wanted to send this in chat:

and the link broke and protocollib sent a long error, tried the same thing without protocollib and it didn't let me send the message at all.

The problem happens only if there is an & in that link chc tries to convert it to <green and it breaks.

Disabling the chat from Color:
Apply_On:

• chat

the problem is not there but the mods will not be able to write colored anymore.

A secondary thing, please consider using packetevents as protocollib became a lag machine for big servers.

Unfortunately you'd have to report it to Paper API or ProtocolLib, i dont see chatcontrol in that stack trace
