This kind makes sense.
But it will have to wait for 4.0 to go in, as enabling this means that users might find some new migrations popping up!

Sure put it in 4.0.... I would not worry about those that habe used the migrations folder for someting else.

Another case:

  • already put migrations in that folder
  • and use them, with the --path option, in some cases
  • where in other cases you don't use --path
  • after the change, the migrations will show up in the last usage

I admit that it does not look that common :-)
