A Mineclonia fork with Asuna-style biome diversity, built on Luanti's native
mapgen. is a free open-source voxel game engine with easy modding and game creation.
VerdantCraft takes Mineclonia's Minecraft-accurate survival gameplay and replaces the world generation with a rich, exploration-focused overworld featuring 46+ biomes drawn from community mods. It uses Luanti's built-in mapgen algorithms (v7, valleys, carpathian) for terrain, giving natural-looking mountains, valleys, and coastlines that differ from vanilla Minecraft.

VerdantCraft replaces Mineclonia's custom Lua mapgen with Luanti's native
mapgen for the overworld. The vc_biomes mod owns the overworld biome
catalog and registers all biomes, decorations, and feature mappings.
Mineclonia's singlenode-based tree and biome systems are disabled in favor
of core.register_decoration with schematic placement.
A compatibility layer (vc_mtg_compat) bridges Minetest Game node names
used by community mods to their Mineclonia equivalents, and an alias
system (mcl_biome_dispatch) maps Minecraft biome names to VerdantCraft
biomes for mob spawning and village generation.
