    @akshayatam

    I was able to reproduce this issue and traced it to Seal currently using youtubedl-android 0.17.3, which does not provide a JavaScript runtime for newer yt-dlp YouTube extraction.

    I updated youtubedl-android to 0.18.1, which includes QuickJS support and passes the JS runtime to yt-dlp.

    I built and tested Seal locally on Android, and the URL from this issue now downloads successfully. I also tested:

    • normal video downloads
    • suggested audio downloads
    • custom audio-only formats
    • filenames containing non-ASCII/Cyrillic characters

    All completed successfully without the previous No supported JavaScript runtime could be found / HTTP Error 403: Forbidden error.

    Issue #2646 appears to report the same underlying problem.

    I’m preparing a PR with the dependency update.

    Thank You!! FOR YOUR RESPONSE HOW CAN I DO THAT ON MY PHONE

    @akshayatam

    You can use the fix right now by building Seal from source with the change in my PR (youtubedl-android 0.18.1) and installing the debug APK on your phone. If you’re not familiar with building Android apps, I’d recommend waiting for the PR to be merged and released rather than installing unofficial builds.
