I build open-source tools for self-hosters
I like software you can run yourself, and I build tools that make that easier. My main
focus right now is a suite of open-source tools around Immich,
the self-hosted alternative to Google Photos:
automatic photo stacking and duplicate detection,
geolocation for photos missing GPS data,
browsing your library straight from the macOS Finder, and
more. Everything is open-source, runs
alongside your own instance, and the Docker tools have already been pulled tens of
thousands of times.
Background
I previously led the backend and frontend at Yearn, one of DeFi's
original protocols, and I created the Smol dapp suite, a set of
consumer tools built as a public good. I've been shipping production open-source for
years.
Why sponsor
I split my time between client work at Quub, my dev studio, and
open-source. Sponsorship tips that balance toward the tools you rely on. It funds bug
fixes, new features, and the time to keep the suite growing. If my work saves you time
on your own setup, sponsoring is the most direct way to keep it alive, for you and for
everyone else self-hosting.
