As a RESEARCHER, I want to submit my manuscript to Open Research Europe so that my work can be published open access and reach a wide audience.

Acceptance Criteria

• File Upload – At least one manuscript file is successfully uploaded
• Required Metadata – Title, abstract, and keywords are provided in English
• Contributors – At least one contributor is added to the submission
• Scientific area classification – Minimum 2 selections for Frascati classification
• Data Statement – Data availability statement is provided (or explicitly declined)
• Save Functionality – I can save progress at any step and resume later

ORE vs OJS VM Submission Form

1. Dedicated covering letter upload field; it’s not a required field in ORE so can we add “covering letter” to the list of file types (“section”)?
2. OJS VS has duplicates in the article type (“Section”) radio box list.
3. Data section - ORE has a link to guidelines and explicit declaration (“Have you shared your data openly?”); OJS has an open text field (“Data Availability Statement”)
4. Competing interests disclosure - ORE has an explicit competing interests disclosure; “Do you have any competing interests?”
5. Submit to gateway/collection option — Can we change the title “Categories” to “Gateway Categories”?
6. Under “License Agreement” in ORE, NIH pops up an overlay; we can find out in UAT whether this is necessary

@Tribunal33 Most of these can be confirmed during UAT but no 2, 3, and 6 can be done at any time (lower priority but to be tracked)
