Options/Settings per Plug-in

Is there a preferred way how to implement options or settings that are valid for all actions of a certain plug-in? For example in a homeassistant plug-in, every action needs to know the address of the homeassistant instance.

There is the Way of Global Settings in the SDK which would be the official Way.

And in terms of how to let the user edit them, you should generally just put them at the top of the property inspector of every action. I don't like it, but it's the best way if you want your plugin to work in Elgato's software and also match the behaviour of existing plugins.
