I suggest that MCP 0031 is renamed from Base Modelica to Modelica for Equations. The advantages are:

  • Focus on the main objective: a representation of model equations without any component structure.
  • Reduces the risk that it will be misunderstood as "basic parts of Modelica" or "simplified Modelica".
  • Maintains name recognition, benefits from the good reputation of Modelica.
