Is there an existing issue for this?
Current Behavior
When tagging an account in a post or reply which contains a special character, then the highlighting of the account name in blue does not work properly.
Example would be a toot to
Hello Hello @UniKonstanz@bawü.social , ...
In this scenario, I would see "@UniKonstanz@baw" highlighted in blue, the rest of the name ("ü.social") in standard white/black font.

Expected Behavior
I would expect that the entire account name is getting highlighted in blue for better readability.
Steps To Reproduce
- iOS app for Mastodon (version given below)
- start writing a toot
- reference via @ an account with a special character. Example @UniKonstanz@bawü.social
Environment
- Device: iPhone 15 pro
- OS: 18.3.1
- Version: 2024.12
- Build: 6951
Anything else?
The web client does not highlight names. Not sure if this is a general issue, or an issue with the iOS app.
