Single sequence revise form does not surface backend error nicely when sequence discarded/missing

This error came up in @fengelniederhammer's PR: #5200 and in my PR: #5261 just after a segment was deleted. The odd thing is the logs show no data was sent (even metadata) - so this seems like an important error to investigate. Here are the logs for the ebola case on main:

A few more lines on how to reproduce would be good. IIUC:

1. Revise a sequence
2. Discard sequence file
3. Submit
4. Some error shown in modal

Can reproduce and get error message.

Backend /revise errors with 400 Bad Request:

To reproduce: Edit multi-segmented thing with multiple segment, then remove 1 segment

Theo suggest to check response via Network tab of console - to see response and more info/error.
Suggests hasn't modified metadata file correctly (that the metdata should be looking for 1 less segment)
