Just installed, and have to say, by far the best and first Tab5 SDR firmware I've gotten to work really, and so far only issue is, even with battery pack on it, when turning it on it'll flash a blue screen, soon as i connect to usb, it turns on properly, then I can unplug and it'll still work perfectly

Thank you so much man. Really apperciate some direct feedback from somebody else using it. Really Really cant thank you enough. I've also notice this issue on restarting/turning on with battery. Havent locked it down yet, but it will be fixed!

I got mine from their website on Feb 20th of this year. I know they made a change in their display. I have the ST7123 version.

Ah that makes sense, having the most recent variant. But i managed to get OrcSDR to run on top of M5Launcher, only problem, if i updated the C6 via Orc, it kills the WiFi for M5Launcher, and i managed to get it to boot and have no blue boot loop screen by connecting it to my iPhone, so there is some kind of signal it needs

Nice! that was my next text. Trying to see if it worked for M5Launcher. You bringing up the different screen thing is something i need to figure out how to work through, im curious how M5Launcher handled you having the ST7121 even though the firmware was built for mine ST7123. This is great feeback by the way. Not having a 2nd device to poke at, but still getting some exposure by you!

My last few commits of ther last 24 hours have just been hardining the P25 Dashboards. But I got some breif work on the USB cable/bootloop thing. I havent been able to reproduce it on the recent branch/worktrees so maybe it was just a bug that got worked into the that 0.2.0beta-2.

I have the same variant as you, ST7123, that's why I was saying yours has been the best working for me, and did find a fix for using Orc with M5Launcher with the 2 different C6 firmware versions, Tab5 esp-hosted updater firmware, yeah I can't take a second for everything to work when you need it. But it works

Looks like the reboot loop until plugged into a USB-C was due to way/time wifi was getting "turned on" during boot. Working through that now, but im pretty sure we got this resolved now. Working on the finishing touches.

A follow-up on battery startup: the Multi-Dongle RC4 hardware test included a cold boot on battery power with the RTL-SDR Blog V3C attached, and it reached the Home screen successfully. USB-powered cold boot was also checked.

If OrcSDR still fails to start on battery with RC4, please report the exact dongle model, whether the SDR was attached during power-on, and whether the screen automatically recovers or remains in a loop. A short video is useful when a serial cable cannot be attached.
