Unless I missed something, there is no information about the need to wait for the next checkpoint after your block proposal before claiming rewards. Most of the docs read something to the effect of "after a block proposal, your accumulated rewards become claimable", what they don't mention is that the user needs to wait for the next smooth checkpoint, which could be a few days out.
