What They're Building

Gradale is in the final stages of preparation before submitting their first pull request to a Bitcoin open-source project. The two primary targets under consideration:

  • rust-bitcoin — foundational Rust Bitcoin library (first issues available, strong Rust community support)
  • core-lightning — the C-Lightning/CLN Lightning implementation in C and Rust

Direction

Gradale has been working through the Code Orange structured learning pathway and is approaching the point of first contribution. The rust-bitcoin path is well-matched to current skill level; core-lightning would represent a step up in complexity but also in impact.
