In my opinion, adding automatic breeding lamp would be an interesting idea. As far as I know, there is no mod for newer versions which add similar feature. It could work by putting breeding lantern with configurable radius (for example - default 8x8, to prevent overpopulation) on ground/some other block. Then, animals of the same species, being within radius of the lamp, would go into breeding mode, as if you feed them their food.
In case the torch would not recognize animals from other mods, you could add them in the config file manually.
I think this feature would be nice for auto farms or even for roleplay.
