I’m Nacho, a full-stack developer, and I’m very interested in contributing to the project. I’d love the opportunity to work on issue #411, Real-time Notification System.

I’ve reviewed the requirements, and my approach would be:

1. Review the existing backend architecture to understand the current service structure, authentication, database models, and any existing WebSocket or event-driven infrastructure.

2. Design the notification architecture with a scalable structure for notification types, user targeting, delivery status, and preferences.

3. Implement real-time delivery using WebSockets, allowing users to receive notifications instantly without needing to refresh.

4. Create notification types and a preference system so users can control which notifications they receive.

5. Implement a notification queue to manage delivery efficiently and prevent users or the system from being overwhelmed during high-volume events.

6. Add delivery tracking and retry logic to monitor notification status and handle failed deliveries gracefully.

7. Implement notification history, allowing users to retrieve and view previous notifications.

8. Add notification aggregation where appropriate to prevent repetitive or excessive notifications.

9. Write comprehensive tests covering real-time delivery, preferences, queue behavior, retries, history, and edge cases.

I’m confident I can approach this feature in a structured way and deliver a clean implementation that integrates well with the existing backend architecture.
