Subtitles in dark mode?

Hello,
I’ve noticed that when my smartphone is in dark mode, the subtitles appear as white squares.
Is there any way to avoid this? (apart from forcing light mode)

Phone model, Android version, PipePipe version?

Subtitles (captions) appearance follows your system settings. In PipePipe, Settings > Player > Captions will bring you to the system settings.

For me (Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, Android 14, PipePipe 5.3.0), the captions are consistent with my chosen settings in both light/dark mode.

Note you may need to restart PipePipe after changing caption settings.

I use a Redmi Note 12, with Android 15 AQ3A.240829.003, and PipePipe 5.3.0

I've tried different captions settings, but I still have the issue.
