The dollar value of ETH has risen significantly since the launch of the Geo Web such that a .005 ETHx payment/minimum price doesn't align with our goals to encourage experimentation and adoption. This initial setting was a best-guess value intended to avoid speculative land grabs.
Given the market and still early stages of adoption of the network, we will update the claim payment and minimum bid value to .001 ETHx. This new minimum price will apply to existing parcels, but licensors will need to make any desired price changes themselves (ie we aren't lowering all parcels priced at .005 ETHx to .001 ETHx automatically):
