Installation Guide

install i3

sudo apt install i3

sudo apt install ranger

Copy config files

ln -s ~/dotfiles/config/i3/config ~/.config/i3/config

install alacritty

Log out and log back in

setup vim

Pass

  • Either copy/paste the entire .gnupg dir into the new computer (recommended) or export the private key from old machine, copy that into new machine and import it there.

    • list keys 
      gpg --list-secret-keys --keyid-format LONG
    • export one key 
      gpg --export-secret-keys -a [KEY_ID] > gpg-secret.asc
    • import key 
      gpg --import gpg-secret.asc
    • trust key 
      gpg --edit-key [KEY_ID]
gpg> trust

gpg> quit

  • install pass (sudo apt install pass)

  • Clone password-store as .password-store dir
